In 2016, a group of visionary graduates from IIT Delhi set out to tackle a silent yet pervasive environmental challenge — the harmful soot emissions from diesel generators that compromise the air we breathe. This mission gave birth to Chakr Innovation, a company founded on the principles of environmental stewardship and technological ingenuity.
Their journey began with the launch of Chakr Shield 1.0 in 2017, a pioneering step in soot capture technology. By 2019, Chakr had established its first manufacturing facility in Hinjewadi, Pune, marking a significant leap toward large-scale impact.
A major breakthrough came in 2021 with the release of Chakr Shield 2.0 — a patented, catalyst-based technology that set a new benchmark in emission control. The innovation was further validated in September 2022, when Chakr became India’s first company to receive Type Approval for its emissions control products.
In December 2022, the launch of the Dual Fuel Kit cemented Chakr’s reputation as India’s leading turnkey solution provider in clean energy transformation.
